Story

I’m Izzy! I’m 5 years old and this year I’m running the mini marathon to raise money for PSP.

PSP stands for progressive supranuclear palsy. It is an illness in the brain that makes people too wobbly to stand or walk and it makes it hard to talk and swallow. Nothing can fix it, it gets worse and there is no treatment so money is needed to fund research.

My Nana has PSP and she wishes she could walk and dance and chat easily with us because she loves to have fun but she can’t do those things. Please sponsor me and your money will go to help finding a cure for PSP or help people who have PSP.

I feel confident to run the mini marathon because I practise running lots with my Daddy. I’m very fit and strong and healthy. I exercise lots, I eat cucumber and broccoli most days and I can do a really neat handstand! I have new pink trainers that help me run really fast! My mummy, brother and sister will be watching and cheering me and daddy as we run together. My mummy helped me write some of this to get the bit right about PSP.
