Story

I am so proud to be the CEO of Lost Chord UK. It seemed like a great idea to sign up for the Salzburg Marathon to try and find the Superhero in myself this May...

Having been a flautist for Lost Chord for nearly 22 years I have seen the power of music in the sessions literally thousands of times and will do everything I can to keep the charity going and to help it get stronger and stronger every single year.

Every session costs about £200 to put on and in the last week of April 2023 alone we had over 30 sessions happening...that gives you an idea of what sort of money we need to keep going.

This week we had a daughter tell us that in one of our sessions it was the most animated she had ever seen her Mum for months. In another session a gentleman said he had let go of a hurt he had been carrying for years all because of the healing power of the music.

This will be my first marathon and I think my last but I will finish it - it may take me 5 or 6 hours but I will do it and it will be a personal best lol!

If you can sponsor me £2.62, that's less than the cost of a coffee, that would be - 10p for every mile I am going to run.

Anything you can give I promise you will be put to the best use possible. Hearing a son say to me "that piece of music you played triggered something in my Dad - it unlocked him...he called me by my name for the first time in 2 years...he knew who I was". That is the power of music. That is the power of a Lost Chord UK session.

If you can't afford to give anything, please just send me good vibes on 21st May.

From the bottom of my heart I thank you.
