On October 17th, Alex and I will both performing in OKMT's Music Marathon to raise much needed funds for OKMT's Music School, which has 80 pupils and now has a 2 year waiting list.

I joined OKMT in 2016 and have been its Director for 8 years, after seeing first-hand the amazing difference that music has made for Alex and other children with additional needs. We want to reduce our waiting list and have more children and young people benefit from the amazing teaching and experiences that Music School provides. I am delighted to be performing in the Music Marathon and will be playing violin and cello duets with my friend Sarah.

Alex has been going to OKMT since he was a toddler, initially for Music Therapy, and for the past few years as a member of its Music School. He loves music, loves to perform, and thrives on being part of the band and making music together with his friends. The band will be playing a range of pieces during the Marathon, including one song by The Beatles, his favourite group.
