Dermot Murphy Close is a continuing care unit providing 24-hour nursing to a broad range of highly dependent people living with severe multiple disabilities, either following an acquired brain or other complex injury or diagnosis with progressive neurological, respiratory, cardiac, renal musculoskeletal or gastrointestinal diseases.

Unfortunately there is very little in the way of funding to provide our patients with new, exciting and stimulating experiences, and since the pandemic they have had very little opportunity to be away from the day to day surroundings of the unit, or have events there to enjoy.

Therefore, we are are walking to raise funds so we can organise various day trips and experiences for our patients to enjoy as they are much deserved and long awaited.
