In April 2026, I will be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for a special cause.

This is a cause very close to my heart. My lovely Dad has Alzheimer's. I want to run this half marathon (albeit very slowly!) to honour him and raise some money in the process. It is a devastating disease. The diagnosis of Alzheimer's took our family by shock as there had been no family history and looking back the onset of symptoms were very subtle.

We always thought Dad had done all the right things to avoid such a diagnosis. He loved to read and solve cryptic crosswords. He was always very active and loved a good walk.

By supporting Alzheimer's research UK we will get more of an understanding of the disease to help others and their families in the here and now and in the future.
