Story
It’s that time of year again where we complete the Rowans walk in memory of my Dad and Uncle who were both cared for by Rowans Hospice. My Dad spent his final 2 weeks living at the hospice and was so looked after by the wonderful staff as were both myself and my Mum who effectively ‘moved in’ as well. It became ‘home’ for us all and, although the reasons we were there were not happy ones, it’s such a lovely place to be considering the circumstances. This year we walk again to remember them and continue to raise money in memory and to support Rowans and the work they do. We also remember my cousin’s grandmother who sadly passed away last year and was cared for by Rowans at the very end. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and all go to support the hospice continue to support families like ours.
