Story
On 27th October, I will be completing my first Marathon in aid of Cancer Focus NI’s Bra & Swimwear Fitting Service.
Running has always been a passion of mine and when I moved from Donegal to Belfast three years ago, I joined a running club with a dream to complete a marathon. This October, I will fulfil this milestone and better still, for an amazing cause that is very close to my heart.
As a Breast Care Nurse in the South Eastern Trust, I know how important support services are for women undergoing breast cancer surgery. Cancer Focus NI’s bra & swimwear fitting service operates regionally with one of those locations being my workplace at the Ulster Hospital. Each week, my colleagues and I work with women in preparation for surgery and this local charity is right there alongside us to provide a specialist measurement and bra fitting service.
By donating to my fundraising goal this Breast Cancer Awareness Month, you will help the charity support even more women during their time of need. All money raised will go towards helping those women who I am privileged to support through my work.
Every penny, pound, or Euro (for my Donegal supporters) will go a long way at this wonderful local charity.
Thank you.
