The brain is the most complex organ in our body. It controls our emotions, senses and actions. So when it breaks down, we break down. We fund the best research to discover the causes, develop new treatments and improve the lives of those affected. Let’s unite to accelerate progress. Today.

Story

As some of you will know, we lost my uncle Peter to motor neurone disease a few years ago. Following this, we suddenly lost my auntie Jenny yesterday to brain cancer, after a very recent diagnosis. Whilst words feel inadequate here, we are utterly devastated by this loss and will miss two people who made a profound impact on the lives of those around them.

In their memory, I am running a half marathon for Brain Research UK. This charity funds research into multiple neurological conditions/illnesses, including MND and brain tumours, strokes and Alzheimer's. 1 in 5 deaths is due to a neurological condition, so this research could go a long way to protecting many of our loved ones.

Anything you can give is so gratefully received, both from myself but also my family. Thank you so much in advance for any donation, but also for the sincerely wonderful support we've received over the last month or two.
