On 1st May this year, our Claudia would have turned 30.

Claudia was born in Winchester, a place that will always be special to us, so it feels only right that this walk begins there.

Claudia was supported for most of her life by Rose Road Association, an incredible charity in Southampton that supports disabled children, young people and their families. Rose Road has been such an important part of our lives, and we'll always be grateful for everything they've done for Claudia and for all of us as a family.

When we first planned this walk, we hoped to do it around Claudia's birthday in May. Life had other ideas, but by holding it in September it means all of Claudia's brothers can be there with us, and that means the world to us.

More than anything, this walk is about remembering Claudia. If you were lucky enough to know her, you'll know she had a way of making people smile. She was full of positivity, energy and determination, and she left a lasting impression on everyone she met. We miss her every day, and this is our way of celebrating her life and keeping her memory alive.

In September, we'll be walking from Winchester to Shirley in Southampton, starting at Winchester Train Station and finishing at Clockwork in Shirley. The route is around 26,000 steps and we expect it to take five to six hours, with plenty of breaks along the way.

This isn't about finishing as quickly as possible. It's about coming together, sharing memories, looking after one another, and doing something positive in Claudia's name.

Every donation will go directly to the Rose Road Association, helping them continue the amazing work they do for disabled children, young people and their families across our community.
