Those that know me, never probably thought I would participate in the Great North Run. I know I didn't.

With this in mind, it only feels right to raise donations for a charity doing incredible work and supporting a cause close to me - for those who have experienced prematurity.

Being born at 24-weeks gestation, is not something I remember, but understand was a bit of unknown territory at the time. Knowing I only had 5% chance of living and being here today (29 years old) - I cannot thank hospitals and charities like these enough.

I feel incredibly lucky and intend to do all I can to help raise awareness and donations to those who experience prematurity and require all the help they can.
