Help Us Knit a Lifeline
I'm Adam, and if you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know how passionate I am about knitting—not just as a craft, but as a powerful tool for connection and mental wellbeing.
Together with the brilliant charity Sew Positive, and my fellow volunteer Zamina, I’m launching a new weekly knitting and crochet group for people experiencing social isolation and mental health challenges.
We’re calling it K2Tog – Knit Two Together.
It’s a place for calm, conversation, creativity—and yes, a lot of yarn.
This matters. It isn’t just about stitches. It’s about:
>Creating a warm, welcoming space for people who feel alone
>Supporting mental health through slow, mindful making
>Giving people the chance to learn a new skill in a supportive environment
>Building confidence through craft, and helping participants discover what they’re capable of
>Learning new skills
As someone who’s benefited enormously from knitting myself, I’ll be teaching people how to knit from scratch—guiding them step by step so they can experience the joy, focus and self-expression that making something by hand can bring.
We’re raising funds for:
>Venue hire
>Insurance and mental health training
>Materials
>Running costs to keep the group free and accessible to everyone who needs it
(For the avoidance of doubt, volunteers are unpaid)
If you’ve ever found peace, joy or strength in making—or want to help someone else discover that—please donate today.
Every stitch counts.
Every pound makes a difference.
Thank you so much,
