Age Concern Southend are a small, independent charity based at the Havens Building in Westcliff on Sea, Essex.

Our charity began in 1974 as Southend Older People’s Welfare and have been helping older people in our community ever since.

We provide telephone and face-to-face support, advice and services to older people in Southend and the surrounding communities. We currently provide general advice on available support in the area, telephone befriending services, wheelchair hire, supply of hearing aid batteries and host a variety of social groups and fitness classes at the Community Hub.
