Story
I’m going to attempt to climb 5 stories up the outside of our HQ building in Rochdale to raise money for WHAG. Our building isn’t Taipei 101, but it will be a difficult climb for me (if I can do it at all). For most of the climb, I’ll only have the vertical smooth surfaces of the drainpipe and the wall to get traction on. Unlike Alex Honnold, I’ll have a safety rope!
WHAG is a local Rochdale charity whose mission is to offer a lifeline to women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, as well as to men, women, and children who have experienced domestic abuse. WHAG provides safe housing, emotional support, and practical assistance to help individuals rebuild their lives and regain their independence.
