Climbing Kilimanjaro 2024

Founded by actors Sarah Parish and Jim Murray in memory of their late daughter Ella-Jayne, we support projects at Southampton Children’s Hospital which advance and enhance children’s healthcare, including mental health, beyond that which is possible through NHS funding.

Story

In September 2024 Claudia and Laura will be taking on the mammoth task of climbing Kilimanjaro (the tallest mountain in Africa in case you didn’t know).

Why you ask? Why would you do such a thing when you can’t even walk up the stairs without huffing and puffing??

We are doing it to raise money for The Murray Parish Trust , a trust that works closely with Southampton General Hospital and have already some some phenomenal work and the upcoming plans are so vitally important.

Southampton General Hospital has a special place in Claudia's and Laura’s heart and have supported us so closely over the years. In my case supporting Trent. We have had countless appointments, scans, bloods and procedures over the year and for Laura, her son had been diagnosed with Leukaemia and spent 3 years in the hospital undergoing treatments (we are happy to say he is in remission).

Your donations on this page and from our various events will be supporting our expedition as well as raising vital funds for the charity.

This is our chance to give something back, to show our gratitude and appreciation and help raise money for a charity that works so closely with the hospital.

Thank You

Claudia & Laura
