In memory of Clive “Wookie” Conley, who sadly passed away on 24th March
You will never meet a more genuine, kind, caring, loving person, he talked to everyone and excluded no-one. He had a way of making everyone feel special and has left a huge hole in the hearts of so many.
Clive certainly had his own style, he wore colourful clothes and had long dreadlocked hair (of which he was very proud) and most definitely was one of a kind. Clive knew someone wherever you went and if he didn’t (which was very rare) he definitely knew people by the time you left.
During his illness Clive was initially treated at the Norfolk and Norwich hospital, due to the nature of his illness he was transferred to the Royal Papworth Cambridge which is where he sadly passed away.
The Royal Papworth Charity exists to support the ground-breaking work of Royal Papworth Hospital. With increasing pressures on the NHS, the Charity plays a vital role in supporting research into new ways of treating heart and lung disease while ensuring that the Hospital continues to provide the highest standards of care by investing in staff development and improving the Hospital environment for our patients.
Our patients, their families and the staff are at the heart of everything we do, this is all made possible by the generosity of our supporters.
