The Catholic Medical Association (CMA) was founded in 1932 to unite Catholic physicians under a common banner. Today, CMA is a bulwark against the encroaching culture of death in American healthcare – and the organization best positioned to champion quality Catholic healthcare for future generations.

Story

The future of healthcare as we know it is on the line. From medical schools to hospitals and clinics, quality Catholic health care grounded in sound moral teaching needs a champion or it may disappear forever.

Since our founding in 1932, CMA has worked to unite Catholic physicians and other health care professionals under a common banner. Today, CMA is a bulwark against the encroaching culture of death in American healthcare – and the organization best positioned to champion quality Catholic health care for future generations.

Through our programs, CMA stands at the forefront of the fight to keep Catholic principles in health care, working to transform the health care environment and to train the next generation of Catholic physicians.

We need your help to advance our efforts. Donate to CMA’s Giving Tuesday campaign. Join us on the frontlines to ensure that Catholic health care professionals anywhere can practice medicine in accordance with their deeply held beliefs and that patients everywhere can select a physician who reflects their own values.
