A group of our GPs and staff from Coastal Medical Partnership are planning on cycling around the Isle of Wight on Saturday 29th June in aid of a charity that is very close to our hearts – ‘Elsie’s Rose’.

What does Elsie’s Rose do?

Elsie’s Rose wants to support parents of children receiving end-of-life care and in the immediate months after a child passes away, to alleviate some of the pressures of day-to-day life as they spend time with their child and grieve. This support could be help paying bills such as rent, mortgages, utilities, food parcels and deliveries or counselling for parents or siblings. Their aim is to take some of the pressure off those parents and families in the darkest days they will ever experience as a parent.

So what are we planning to achieve?

A group of GPs and staff from Coastal Medical Partnership are planning to cycle around the Isle of Wight to raise money for this great cause. There will be two routes – one covering the full 100km route, and another of around 50km.

We will have technical support provided by the wonderful team at Contained Cycles.
