This event has returned for year 2 to be bigger and better.

To raise awareness and build funds for Diabetes UK. Inspired by this challenge, the child's father and grandfather, who is also the chairman of South Shields a local football club, decided to organise an event that would not only support this vital charity but also bring the community together.

The event, titled "Year 2 the Football Match," will take place on August 2nd at the fantastic facilities of the 1st Cloud Arena, home of South Shields FC. The match will feature a special lineup: a Celebrity XI managed and a Super South Shields XI

. We are excited to announce that several former celebrity players will be joining us for this memorable occasion.

In a unique twist, all players will wear personalised shirts featuring the charity logo on their kits in both home & away team colours. This visual representation serves as a powerful reminder of our collective fight against diabetes.
