Story
On 4 September, I will be cycling 80 miles in a single day, setting off from Henshaws at 08:30 and ending in Whitby.
I am undertaking this challenge in my capacity as an ambassador for Henshaws, a Northern charity supporting blind, visually impaired, and disabled people to live more independent and fulfilled lives. Henshaws creates opportunities, builds confidence, and helps people connect with their communities.
At the Arts and Crafts Centre in Knaresborough, Henshaws Art Makers benefit from inspiring settings and creative workshops that help them develop new skills, build meaningful friendships, and become part of a welcoming community.
At the Specialist College in Harrogate, students receive personalised support to communicate, connect with the world, and discover what is possible for them. Specialist teams help young people gain independence and access new opportunities.
Every donation, of any size, will help Henshaws continue to provide this life-changing support for blind, visually impaired and disabled people.
Thank you for considering a contribution to this cause.
