In September 2024 , we lost Lisa Owens to cancer — a dearly loved wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend.
Lisa faced her illness with extraordinary courage, grace, and strength. In her final months, the care, compassion, and dignity provided by the Southern Area Hospice meant everything to Lisa and to those of us who stood by her side.
To honour Lisa’s memory and support the hospice that gave so much to our family, 17 members of the Armagh Down Cycling Club will take on a coast-to-coast cycling challenge on August 23rd.
This journey is not just about distance — it’s about purpose. Every mile we ride is a tribute to Lisa and a way to give back to the hospice that helps so many families through the most heartbreaking of times.
We also want to express our deep and heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has fundraised for the hospice before us. Because of your generosity, when our time of need came, the hospice was there. Your efforts ensured that Lisa received the care she deserved, and that we, her family, were never left to face those moments alone.
Now it’s our turn to give back.
With your support, we can help ensure that other families like ours continue to have access to the same incredible care, compassion, and comfort that carried us through.
