We’re proud to be supporting Macmillan Cancer Support as our chosen charity until April 2025 — a cause that means a great deal to us here at the Coastal Kitchen Family.

As an update, Madi, one of our team members who inspired this fundraising effort, had been training to run the London Marathon alongside her husband, Sam. However, during her training, she sustained a stress fracture and will sadly no longer be taking part this year. She continues to support Sam in his marathon journey and hopes to run in 2026 once fully recovered.

This charity remains especially close to our hearts as Madi was diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer in 2023. After undergoing a radical hysterectomy in October, 2023 she is now in remission and passionate about giving back to the organisation that supported her.

Since announcing our partnership with Macmillan, we’ve held a number of fundraising events, including raffles and quiz nights — with more still to come. An open mic night is already in the pipeline, and we have other exciting plans to help us reach our goal of raising £10,000.

Cancer impacts so many lives, and we’re committed to raising funds and awareness for this incredible charity — one that provides vital support to individuals and families when they need it most.
