Story
We're the charity who look after and bring to life 2,000 miles of waterways, because we believe that life is better by water.
Natasha Sones, a stand-up paddleboarder from Suffolk will be undertaking paddleboarding across England from coast to coast in May 2026. This is a 162-mile waterway route across northern England, which includes the Leeds and Liverpool Canal for 128 miles and Aire and Calder Navigation for a further 34 miles. The journey from Liverpool to Goole is England’s first coast-to-coast trail. Natasha aims to complete this in 10 days.
Also joining the paddle is Essex-based paddler Joseph Kemp and Claire H. Paddlers Anu Aladin and Jo Moseley are also joining for some days. Jo was the first ever woman to paddle the route!
Natasha is being kindly supported on this challenge by Red Equipment, who has provided some of their fantastic kit to go adventuring. Other Red ambassadors will also be taking on an endurance challenge over the summer, designed to push them to their limits. You can follow all the adventures on the Red social media channels.
