London Mighty Hike 2024 - full marathon · 1 June 2024 ·

In June 2024, we are hiking a full or half marathon in London to raise vital funds for people affected by cancer.

Story

On the 1st June 2024, Phil and I are taking on a 27.2 mile Mighty Hike in London to raise vital funds for people affected by cancer.

We have pledged to raise £500 between us and would appreciate any support in reaching this goal.

Many of us have been affected by cancer. Phil and I have lost 2 of our closest friends in 2022, this is why we have decided to walk the Mighty Hike again! The first being 2018, a beautiful 26 mile walk in the Lake District on a very hot day, we know this is no easy task.

Our beautiful Emma, just 39, a singer in our band, she had a voice of an angel and the most infectious laugh, we sadly lost her to cancer in September 2022 and Carol my surrogate mum was taken just a few months earlier in July 2022. She was always so vibrant and funny who battled with determination against all odds. They are missed by us and all their family and friends.

Raising these funds means so much, not only to us but to MacMillan to help them continue to support people living with cancer.
