In April 2025 our vibrant and energetic 7-year-old, Cody, was rushed to hospital with severe heart failure. What began as a normal day quickly turned into a life-altering journey for us all.

Admitted to Birmingham Children’s Hospital in April, he spent months fighting for his life, surrounded by the incredible care and expertise of the hospital’s dedicated staff. Through countless procedures, sleepless nights, and moments of uncertainty, our brave young lad showed a strength far beyond his years.

After nearly five months in hospital, he was finally able to return home in September. But while he’s back in familiar surroundings, his battle is far from over. His journey continues with ongoing treatments, regular hospital visits, and the need for constant medical support.

Why We’re Fundraising

Birmingham Children’s Hospital has been a lifeline—not just for our young boy, but for thousands of children and families across the region. The care, compassion, and cutting-edge treatment they provide is nothing short of extraordinary.
