On October 7, 2023, Hamas infiltrated Israel in the worst terror attack in Israel's history. More than 1,400 people were killed and over 200 men, women, and children were kidnapped. Since then, thousands of rockets have been launched from Gaza into Israel everyday. Families living in Southern Israel were told to evacuate.

The deputy Mayor of Sderot called Avi Goldberg, owner of City Of Gold Apartments and asked if any of the apartments he managed could be used for displaced families from the South. Avi contacted the owners of the apartments, most of whom live in North America, and more than thirty apartment owners agreed to give their homes to families in need.

Since then, City of Gold Apartments, along with more than fifty volunteers, have been working night and day to help these families, many who left with no clothing or basic necessities. The apartments were cleaned and prepared for the displaced families along with food, toiletries, and clothing. In order to keep providing for all the needs of these families, we need your help. Any money you give will go directly to this project.

This project is in memory of Nathanel Young z"l, a lone solider who was killed on October 7 while protecting the communities on the Gaza Border.
