Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We are raising funds to purchase one or even better two CuddleCots for Maple Grove Hospital. I know what most of you are thinking, "What's a CuddleCot?" A CuddleCot is a small, portable, lightweight unit that enables families experiencing the loss of their baby at any age gestation to spend more time with them and enables more time to create memories. We know this because our firstborn son, Vincent Kari, was stillborn at 41 weeks on 12/30/19. Before that day we too had never heard of nor thought of a CuddleCot. After 12/30/19 I was forever grateful we were able to use one to make the ONLY memories we have with Vinny. It is the only thing that allowed us and our family to hold and love on our boy. If it weren't for fantastic hospitals like Maple Grove, who's fantastic people and programs help families like ours, many families would never get to make these lasting memories with their babies. Maple Grove's CuddleCot is currently on its way out and they're in need of a new one. We know you may be asking, " Can't the hospital pay for it?" Unfortunately, even the best hospitals like MG are struggling and CC are not on the top of the list. We can work on changing that later. For now future bereaved families need our help. This is our Vinny on a CuddleCot.
