I am running the Cambridge Half Marathon for Petals, the baby loss counselling charity.

I will be doing a "challenge" run and I will be running in medieval armour, weighing and additional 25KG. I will also be carrying a banner for Petals.

Petals provide specialist counselling for women, men and couples who have suffered the devastating loss of a pregnancy or death of a baby.

It is a sad reality that in the UK, 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage, 1 in 200 babies will be stillborn every year, over 5000 pregnancies will be terminated for medical reasons each year, and 24 babies die shortly after birth every single week.

Petals delivers hundreds of counselling sessions every month. Each session costs Petals £80, I would like my sponsorship to fund as many sessions as possible, so many more parents can be supported. So every donation counts!
