A lot has happened in the past 20 years since I last ran the London Marathon (or A marathon!) but when the opportunity arose to run for Equal People Performing Arts; it inspired me to don my running trainers and do something to support a local charity that does so much for our community 👟👟

EPPA is a fully inclusive performing arts studio centre serving South East Essex. They have created a safe and dignified space where disabled and non-disabled children and adults can work together in all aspects of the performing arts 🎭

My personal link to EPPA is through one of their supporters: Mushroom Theatre Company, who have been an extended family to my three daughters during their years of dancing there. Mushroom is a Theatre Company, integrating children with Special Educational Needs in all their classes and performances; breaking down barriers, promoting understanding, kindness, friendship, support and fun, in a fully inclusive environment where everyone is welcome. Daisy, Poppy and Ivy spend most evenings and every Saturday dancing at MTC, but also volunteer as ‘student teachers’, supporting younger children and those with SEND 🍄

Equal People Performing Arts are constantly fundraising to ensure this incredibly important space is accessible to those who need it. I want to raise money so that this wonderful charity can continue to thrive and provide this. If you are in a position to sponsor me, I would be extremely grateful 💫
