Story
From 26 May to the end of July, I’ll be walking all 630 miles of the South West Coast Path, starting from Minehead in Somerset and ending at Poole Harbour in Dorset.
On 14 March 2025, I suffered a subarachnoid brain haemorrhage; a sudden bleed on the brain that turned everything upside down in an instant. Thanks to the stellar efforts of gardener Gary, support of my family and friends, and the dedicated care I received during a five week stay at Coventry and Warwick Hospital, I was fortunate to make a complete recovery.
As a brain haemorrhage survivor, I’ve experienced first-hand how important it is to have the right help and understanding after such a life‑changing event. That’s why I’m raising funds for Headway UK a charity that supports people affected by brain injury, along with their families and carers.

Every 90 seconds, someone is admitted to a UK hospital with a brain injury.
Whether because of head injury, tumour, stroke, haemorrhage or neurological infection, the effects of a brain injury can be life-changing and life-long. That’s why, when the unthinkable happens, expert help is vital.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help Headway UK continue their vital work providing advice, rehabilitation, and hope to those finding their feet again.
Join me in supporting Headway UK and if you’re able, please Gift Aid your donation and help me make an even bigger impact!
