Next summer, September 2026, I’m taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, East Africa! It is the largest free-standing mountain in the world and one of earth’s largest volcanoes! Over seven days, I’ll be facing high altitudes, tough terrain, and long hours of hiking to reach the summit of 5,895 meters (19,340 feet).

I’m raising funds for Rowcroft Hospice, an amazing South Devon Charity that provides expert care for people with life-limiting illnesses. But rely on donations for most of their funding!

In 2023, my aunt, Brenda Summers, died at the age of 90. A determined and independent woman she is the inspiration for this trek. Being mindful of her indomitable spirit, undertaking the climb of Mount Kilimanjaro seems a fitting tribute to her.
