On 26 July I completed the Montane Lakeland 50 Mile Race in the Lake District in 9 hours, 57 minutes and 51 seconds. It’s the most prestigious 50 mile event in the UK off-road running calendar (the London Marathon of fell-racing). Oh, and it has lots of hills; it includes climbing the equivalent of one-third of Mount Everest!

I am raising money for Breast Cancer Now, an organisation that has supported my wife Fiona since she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022, and that she now volunteers for.
