Story
A little bit about why I have chosen the British Heart Foundation as a charity I love to ride for My father taught me how to ride as a child and I remember the smile it brought to his face. Since leaving the British Army my father has had multiple health issues but none more powerful than the Heart, the Heart is the symbol of love it's what empowers us.
Sadly at the end of 2025 as a family we were given the news that my father's Heart condition has become irreversible, and placed with the end of life team. He has Heart failure and has requested a DNR to be put into his medical records, the love that a father and son share is a bond forever very much like a mother daughter bond.
My Dad is my Hero so I ride for him every time.
I am excited to share that I will be participating in the London to Brighton Off Road Bike Ride on September 19, 2026, to support the British Heart Foundation. This incredible organization has played a vital role in reducing the number of deaths from heart and circulatory diseases in the UK by half. However, every day, hundreds of lives are still lost due to these conditions.
The need for continued research and innovation is urgent. With your help, we can ensure that the British Heart Foundation continues its life-saving work. Just £24 can fund two hours of research conducted by an early career scientist, but every contribution counts! Together, we can make a difference and help find new treatments and cures.
I have set a target of £1000 for this campaign, and I would be immensely grateful for any support you can provide. Your generosity will not only help me reach my goal but also contribute to a cause that impacts so many lives. Thank you for considering a donation!
