Story
I am supporting the charity for a couple of reasons! Firstly, my mother has undergone the diagnosis & treatment of Squamous Cell Carcinoma which is a type of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
And, now less than two months ago, the 4-year-old daughter of friend at work was recently diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, which is a cancer that forms in the lymphatic system. The network of vessels that runs throughout the body carrying fluid containing white blood and other important immune system cells, is currently undergoing treatment by the McElwain Ward at The Royal Marsden
I'd like to raise as much as possible to give something back for all the amazing work and support they give.
A bit of back ground, The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. They ensure The Royal Marsden’s world-leading nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world.
From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
I'd be extremely thankful if you could help me raise as much as possible!
Every little bit helps and even if you are not able to support, I would appreciate if you could share the story to raise awareness on the extraordinary work they do.
Thank you very much,
Colin
