Every year I try and do my bit to raise money for great causes and this year I have chosen Prostate Cancer Cancer UK as a charity partner to raise awareness and fundraise for a disease that kills one man every 45 minutes, the same time on average that it takes to play three holes of golf.

Last time it was our ride to Paris and this year we have chosen another great European city Rotterdam as our final destination.

Throughout the Burhill Group Ltd all of our clubs are engaged in activity to raise support and funds for the charity as well as providing screening opportunities for the many thousands of male golfers that regularly utilise our facilities

The PlayMoreGolf member community includes those most frequently affected by the disease, which is most commonly men over the age of 50, black men over 45 and those with a family history of the illness.

Prostate Cancer UK raises vital awareness of the disease, alongside funds which support research into prostate cancer, as well as supporting men and their families affected by prostate cancer. We have pledged to raise funds to support Prostate Cancer UK via our membership and our events.
