We support Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust
Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is one of only three dedicated children’s hospital trusts in the UK and provides integrated healthcare for children and young people across the country, including community and mental health care, as well as acute and specialist services.
At Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, we support the thousands of patients and families at Sheffield Children’s by funding the life-changing and the joy-sparking.
The South Yorkshire Ability Counts League is an independently-run, FA -affiliated football competition for young people and adults living with physical and intellectual disabilities or impaired mental health.
Formed in 2009 to give footballers living with disabilities the chance to play football, the league has grown in popularity, and in 2023 won both the Sheffield FA League of the Year and, for Chairman Mike Stylianou, the Individual creating the most Positive Grassroots football environment award. This year, our Referee's Secretary Sean Wright won the F.A. (England) Match Official of the Year award.

Many of our participants have experienced the love and care provided by Ryegate House, and two years ago funded outdoor activity equipment for its service users. The Children's Hospital Charity was a unanimous choice for our Christmas fundraiser, 2025.
Ryegate House at Sheffield Children's Hospital provides overnight and short breaks for children and young people living with complex neuro-disabilities and profound physical and learning disabilities.
