We aim to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. We are champions for, and supporters of, vulnerable dogs and cats, determined to create lasting changes for animals in our society.

Story

Carol died on 15 November 2024 following a short struggle with neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer. Carol was a very caring person, and was particularly fond of the several cats she and Colin and their family owned over the last 30+ years, in recent times all adopted from Battersea. Chilli, Pip and Puffin are all greatly loved by the family.

Battersea takes dogs and cats in, gives them the expert care they need and finds them new homes that are just right for them. They help pet owners make informed choices, provide training advice, and campaign for changes in the law.

And they help other rescue centres and charities at home and abroad because they want to be here for every dog and cat, wherever they are, for as long as they need Battersea.
