I only started running about a year ago. Now I’m doing the Paddock Wood Half Marathon. Blimey.

I also happen to be a trustee for the 4th East Grinstead Scout Group. As a former Scout I know the value of the experiences young people can have in scouting.

Most of my life skills were acquired through scouting, way more useful stuff that my school didn’t go near. Such as team work, problem solving, communication and how to have a fantastic time.

The 4th EG group is an amazing group but the subs only just cover the running costs. Any extra money we raise will fund brilliant activities that the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts wouldn’t get the chance to do otherwise. Things they will remember for the rest of their lives.
