The High Road Challenge for the SPECIAL AIR SERVICE REGIMENTAL ASSOCIATION - Thank you for all donations so far!

Colin Sweetman is raising money for SPECIAL AIR SERVICE REGIMENTAL ASSOCIATION

Motorcycle challenge · 30 May 2026

The main aims and objects of the Association are to promote the well-being of its members and their dependents and to maintain the Regiments traditions and esprit de corps. Our main priority is, and always has been, the welfare of our members.

Story

On 30th May 2026, a 68-year-old rider and his 29-year-old BMW motorcycle rode to the highest public roads in Wales, England and Scotland in a single day.

Their combined age: 97 years.

This epic ride covered 556 miles and took 13 hours 10 minutes. The average speed was 42.23 MPH.

The SAS has used motorcycles operationally since the Second World War. That tradition of mobility, endurance and getting the job done against the odds continues today.

24 hours a day, 365 days a year, members of the Regiment serve around the world on operations on behalf of the British people.

The SAS Regimental Association supports serving and former members of the Regiment and their families through genuine hardship. No one is turned away. Your donation goes directly to that welfare work. No matter how large or small, whatever you donate will make an impact with the SAS veteran community.

97 years on two wheels. Three nations. One day
