I am raising money for St Nicholas Hospice as they have been supporting a friend Allan Scott. Allan was the previous Stowmarket Chamber of Commerce Chairperson before me. He has been a caring, supportive member of the chamber, always willing to care for others. He is a great example of faith and courage as he deals with cancer. Allan has some Viking heritage and has shown courage and bravery. You can tell he is a Viking as he has a helmet, sword and shield as the picture shows!

So I wanted to honour him and stretch myself and so I entered the Ipswich Half Marathon and will run this on 17th September 2023. The furthest competitive run I have run is 10k and so this is a big step up for me.
