Prostate cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK.

Prostate Cancer UK are doing all they can by raising awareness and introduce vital screening programmes as early diagnosis is key. The test is only a blood test and if outside the agreed parameters is followed up with an appointment with a Specialist. This was when I heard the words no one wants to hear you have ‘Prostate Cancer’, he re-assured me that this is now the most common cancer in the UK and can often be managed if diagnosed early. I was delighted following further tests that the way forward for me was three monthly blood tests for ongoing monitoring. However, I have mates for whom the result was not so good and this led to Surgery and Chemotherapy.

I am planning to take part in a sponsored walk to in May along the Jurassic Coast to fund raise for Prostate Cancer and would greatly appreciate your sponsorship.
