The RNLI was founded in 1824, so its the 200th Anniversary this year.

Brace Servicemen and Women have saved over 144,000 lives in that time! They cover over 19,000 miles of the British Coastline and the River Thames. The RNLI is entirely funded by charitable donations providing lifeboats, seasonal lifeguard service, flood response, coastal safety etc.
