Marie Curie Hospice, Edinburgh provides expert care, guidance and support to people living with a terminal illness and their families.

Story

Colin passed away peacefully at home on 16th October 2025, surrounded by his family. Colin was diagnosed with bladder cancer in April 2024 and bravely fought against the aggressive disease for 18 months.

Colin was a devoted family man and friend to many. His kindness knew no bounds, and he was always supportive of others. To honour his memory, we would like to provide the opportunity for those who knew Colin to donate to one of his chosen charities - Marie Curie & Macmillan.

Whilst Colin didn't receive in-patient care at the hospice, the Marie Curie Edinburgh Hospice nurses played a vital role in Colin's care at home from providing invaluable information, overnight respite, to supporting our family emotionally through Colin's journey. We hope to raise money so other patients and their families can benefit from these wonderful services.
