Story

Me and Samuel are joining in with Bubble Rush fun run on 19th May to raise funds for The Hospice of St Francis.

My beloved friend Helena and my lovely sister-in-law Sue spent their last few days at this amazing place. The staff and volunteers are so kind and caring and the grounds are beautiful and tranquil. They made a truly awful time peaceful and treated our loved ones with love, respect and dignity.

The hospice relies on donations to be able to support people and their families in their time of need.

Please donate to this amazing charity !

The Hospice of St Francis supports over 2000 local people who are managing, or recovering from, serious illness. We help them live their precious lives well by improving symptoms, working with them to achieve personal goals - helping them to feel safe - and anything from getting back to work, enjoying family time to walking the dogs again.

Our care takes many forms and our professional team plus dedicated, trained volunteers care for people with a wide range of illnesses from cancer motor neurone disease and dementia.

We help patients in their own home or here at the Hospice through 1:1 appointments or group sessions (anything from physio to nursing support) in our Spring Centre or through 24-7 care in our beds.

The Hospice relies on voluntary donations like yours to help raise the £5 million needed each year to provide special care, as less than 13% comes from the NHS. By supporting this event you are ensuring that our special care can carry on for those that need us.
