Dentistry’s BIG Community Challenge in support of Dentaid The Dental Charity is being taken on by Charlotte, Farzeela, Katie, Alina, Ami, Lee, Kathryn and David.

On 23rd–24th May, we’ll be walking an incredible 100km from London to Brighton. That’s two full days on our feet if we can make it:

• Starting in Richmond-upon-Thames

• Crossing the rolling hills of the North Downs

• Pushing through Surrey and Sussex countryside to Turners Hill

• Then taking on the South Downs before finally reaching the Brighton coastline

• The minimum we will do together is 42km the equivalent of a marathon

It’s going to be physically and mentally demanding, tired legs, early starts and a lot of miles, but we’re doing it together, as part of something bigger.

This challenge brings together the entire dental community, professionals, practices, and industry partners, all with a shared goal: to support one another and make a real difference to the community. It’s a powerful reminder of what our profession can achieve when we come together beyond the clinic.

We’re walking for Dentaid, a charity that provides essential dental care to people who otherwise wouldn’t have access to it. Across the UK, Dentaid runs mobile clinics and outreach programmes, delivering treatment and pain relief to those experiencing homelessness, people living in poverty, survivors of abuse, and other vulnerable groups. They also support communities overseas, improving access to safe, sustainable dental care.

For many of the people Dentaid helps, this isn’t just about teeth, it’s relief from pain, restoring dignity and improving people’s lives which is fully aligned to our purpose in Colosseum Dental.
