Three events are being held in 2025 to raise funds for the Commando Association. This is to ensure that the unique spirit, tradition, and camaraderie of the Commandos does not fade, but are kept alive, for present and future generations. All funds raised will be deployed towards members & vital heritage projects across the country. More details of unique projects planned will follow soon.

Powerlifting World Record Attempt - 22nd March 2025

Mark Pigden will attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for ‘Most weight deadlifted in 24 hours’. A target has been set of 600,000kg over two times the weight of an Airbus 380, which will see the record broken by just under 20,000kg. To achieve this Mark will be lifting 60-80kg in every rep to maintain an average of 25,000kg every hour. A challenge that will demand, physical endurance, mental resilience, courage, and team spirit.

Los Leones are supporting this attempt by providing funding for equipment and clothing. Alongside a chef, a physio, a medic, a videographer and physical training instructors. This support will be invaluable in keeping Mark at his peak throughout the attempt.
