Story

You can bet your muddy boots that the Commando Boot Camp team won't keep quiet for long!

After conquering the Log Run, scaling 5 mountains, enduring a grueling 48-hour relay, and even pulling Santa's sleigh at Christmas, our fearless group of 27 local women in their 30s and 40s, led by our tough ex-marine leader, are ready to take on another daring challenge. So, what could we possibly have planned this time...

None other than the Royal Marines 30 Mile Yomp!

After 30 intense weeks of elite training, the final test for a Royal Marines Recruit is to conquer the treacherous 30-mile yomp across Dartmoor while lugging 40 pounds of gear and a hefty rifle. We won't be armed, and we won't aim for that superhuman 8-hour time, but we will traverse every inch of the same course on a, hopefully, glorious October Saturday!

No matter how long it takes, we'll be yomping ourselves around that 30-mile course, and back in time for dinner - well that's the plan anyway!

Are we mad? Probably. But if there's one thing we know, together we can do anything.

This time we're on a mission to raise funds for the Brain Tumour Charity, the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. They are on a mission to save and enhance lives and we're on a mission to support them.

If you can spare ANYTHING, no matter how small, we'll be eternally grateful. We cherish each and every one of our supporters and invite you to follow our journey on our social media platforms during this intense event.
