In 2026, which also happens to be the year of reading, Wood Street Mission need your help towards running their Books Forever Appeal to support their much loved Book Roadshows.
These roadshows visit schools in areas of high need, giving children the opportunity to choose free books to take home and keep - something many families simply cannot afford right now. 📚
Reading is one of the most powerful ways to support a child’s education and help break the cycle of poverty.
Last year alone, Wood Street Mission distributed over 14,500 books to children who needed them most.
I cannot tell you how important the work you do for our children is – it unlocks doors that are often locked because of social barriers, and that is vital. Your books have already had such significance in our children’s lives and, in particular, to one family who only had your books in their house.
By supporting Huss and donating to this fundraiser, your donation will go directly towards buying new books for children across Manchester and Salford, helping inspire a lifelong love of reading.
