A group of Complex Trauma patients with spinal cord injuries, supported by therapy staff are taking part in the Superhero Triathlon 2023 on the 12 Aug. The Superhero triathlon is a fun, fully accessible and inclusive event, and is part of the UK’s only disability sport series. With three distances to choose from, Complex Trauma will team up with sidekicks for this super challenge.

The challenge

Sprint: Swim 150m, Bike 3k, Push/run 1k

Half: Swim 400m, Bike 10K, Push/run 2.5k

Full: Swim 750m, Bike 20k, Push/run 5k

This will be the first sporting event our patients have taken part in since sustaining their life changing injuries. Superhero Triathlon enables people with disabilities to participate in a mass sporting event.

We are raising money for the DMRC Benevolent Fund. This charity does great work to improve the lives of those who have been seriously injured whilst devoting their lives to protect ours.

Any sponsorship would be most gratefully received and will certainly be the motivation needed when the going gets tough in this Triathlon challenge
