Pancreatic Cancer UKVerified by JustGiving

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

This fundraiser is dedicated to Reginald Jennings (25th March 1936 - 7th November 2022), my grandad, who died of Pancreatic Cancer. This cancer is currently difficult to catch early on, and very resistant to the limited treatment options. For most people, diagnosis means a prognosis of around 3 months regardless of age or current health.

From the 2nd to the 11th of June, the four of us will be walking the coast to coast. We have no walking experience whatsoever, but enjoyed walking around together during our time at uni together. Naturally we're taking it to the extreme and covering 182 official miles on foot across 8-9 days (25 ish miles/day) from St Bees on the West Coast to Robin Hoods' Bay on the East Coast. We will be crossing the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, and North York Moors completely on foot.

Any and all donations are welcome. Thankyou
