One of your friends, family members or colleagues is part of the Confused.com X Shelter Cymru Cardiff Half Marathon 2024 team, and would really appreciate your support!

How did the team come about?

After last year’s Cardiff half marathon, we realised how many of the Confused.com team had run the race that year, had run in previous years, or harboured an aspiration to run it in the future; through the power of connections (plus endorphins) and the Confused.com Half Marathon 2024 team was born ! We have a mixture of experienced runners, first time runners, and everyone in between, so if you’re cheering us on the day, look out for our Confused.com vests !

Working in Cardiff city centre, it is hard to ignore the signs of the homelessness crisis which is present across the UK, and this is why we are supporting the amazing charity, Shelter Cymru:

HOME IS A HUMAN RIGHT. We exist to defend the right to a safe home in Wales and fight the devastating impact the housing emergency has on people and society. We do this with advice, support and campaigns – and we never give up. We believe that home is everything. Stand with us. Join the fight.

Since 2020, the number of people living in Temporary Accommodation in Wales has increased by 227%.

The latest figures show that 11,673 people, including 3,107 dependent children*,are in need of a safe place to call home. This situation is not just a statistic, it represents real people facing uncertainty every day.

A large amount of our time is spent preventing homelessness from happening in the first place, by giving people the advice and help they need to keep their home when it is at risk. Last year, we helped 22,513 people in housing need. Our support is independent, free and available to anyone in Wales who needs it.

Your donation can make a real difference in the lives of so many struggling with homelessness.

With your help, we can be there for people who don’t have many of the things that many of us take for granted—a safe and secure home. Every contribution, no matter the size, can make a vital difference for so many across Wales.

Diolch & Thank You for any contribution you can make!
